Cylindrical glass beads, cut steel, two rings of pavé diamonds set in white gold and silver
"Moon River is inspired by a reflecting moon and the animated light it creates on the surface of water... Through white and cut steel, the piece is expressing the Super Moon, surrounded by reflective ice and snow." - Claire Kahn
Sleek, silvery vibrance radiates from this work by Claire Kahn. Echoing the effulgence of the moon as it sails thesurface of water, its glowing ripples gleefully float uponof water'slivelyundulation while reverberating the reflections of nearby ice and snow.Inspired by thebreathofthe moment, Claire imagines this beauty of nature in pattern and progression. Utilizing a sea of white beads, the artist progressively introduces cut steel into its alabaster plane, in an array of differing patterns. In this thicket of lustrous sensation, one may marvel as the light touches the facets of every individual steel bead. Imbuing her work with two bands in white gold, embellished with the sparkle ofpavé diamonds, the artist illustrates the moon as it joyously interacts with the scene below. Clairecompels the heart in this work as she unfolds the endless luminescence of the moon and its unparalleled grace in the light of night.
